The 2018 Drinking Water Report is now available HERE!!!
Lead and Copper testing is required every 3 years. 2015 was the last time that specific test was done. The every 3 year tests are done with water from inside someone's home. It is done this way to indicate if there is lead and copper at the point of consumption that may be coming from the home's pipes.
We conduct annual mineral sampling that does include both lead and copper test, but they are at our wells. These test have shown no more than trace levels of lead and copper.
The August 2018 test showed less than 0.01 MG/L of copper and less than 0.002 MG/L of lead.
The VDH's standards call for less than 1.3 MG/L of copper and less than 0.015 MG/L of lead.
